About
Hammers FC Academy Summer Camps offer soccer instruction that includes small-sided games. Campers take part in soccer skills taught through fun games and exercises, and they have the opportunity to transfer their new skills into small-sided games. Each camper receives a soccer ball as part of the program.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Four-day youth camps and advanced camps, with youth camps including 12 hours of instruction
• Price: Hammers FC Academy Summer Camp Tuition: $155.00; Hammers FC Academy Advanced Camp Tuition: $175.00
Campers join groups divided by age and ability. Players who are new to soccer learn the basics, while older and more experienced players work on enhancing their technical ability and skills through a variety of games and activities. The curriculum is described as proven to create a complete player with skill, confidence, and a passion for the game. The Advanced Camp is designed for kids 10 to 15 years old and is tailored for players interested in playing select soccer in the future. Academy Director Jacob Sorenson leads the program.
Whatcom Sports & Recreation is a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation that operates and maintains the facilities for the benefit of Whatcom County citizens without any taxpayer funding. When a child is signed up for a Hammers FC Academy Summer Camp, the proceeds are reinvested back into Whatcom County’s soccer community facilities and programs. On the first day, families are asked to arrive 20 minutes early for registration, and campers are asked to dress for rain or shine, wear shin guards, bring a water bottle and a snack, and use sunscreen, which is strongly recommended.
