PAL Summer Camps offers a range of summer options that include Mixed Martial Arts Camp, Soccer Camp, Basketball Camp, Football Camp, High School CSI Camp, Intro to CSI Camp, Teen Citizens Academy, and a summer science camp focused on crime scene investigation. High School CSI Camp and Intro to CSI Camp include crime scene investigation activities.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Camps run on specific dates between June 24 and August 6, with most sessions held in the morning or early afternoon for several hours over multiple days.
• Price: Cost: $25 per participant for Mixed Martial Arts Camp, Soccer Camp, Basketball Camp, High School CSI Camp, Teen Citizens Academy, Football Camp, and Intro to CSI Camp.
PAL Summer Camps are filled on a first come first serve basis, and youth must be registered to participate. High School CSI Camp is designed for youths aged 14–18, and Teen Citizens Academy is presented for youths aged 14–18 across Clark County, with participants exploring a different law enforcement specialty unit each day. Intro to CSI is a summer science camp and is partnered with the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab, while High School CSI Camp is partnered with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Teen Citizens Academy is partnered with local law enforcement specialty units. PAL Sports are put together as a collaborative effort between law enforcement volunteers, community partners, and PAL staff.
The Police Activities League of Southwest Washington is a youth development non-profit whose mission is to foster and facilitate positive relationships between law enforcement and youth. Police Activities League of SW Washington is a youth development non-profit that partners with law enforcement agencies in the community through educational programs and recreational opportunities, and offers children year-round programs and special events that foster teamwork, encourage citizenship, and provide opportunities to work with law enforcement officers and caring adult mentors. PAL began in the 1910s when Captain John Sweeney of the New York City Police Department began the Police Athletic League or PAL.
