The Base Camas Martial Arts Programs include training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning, Suples Strength Training, and self-defense classes. The program offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for adults and kids, Judo, Wrestling in Gi, Yoga, and Strength & Conditioning with Suples training tools. Training places a focus on detailed techniques and self-defense skills within an environment based on respect, competitiveness, camaraderie, integrity, and critical thinking. Families can access free trial options, including a 5-day trial for Jiu Jitsu (kids, adults, and women only) and a 1-day trial for the homeschool program, Judo, and Yoga.

The Base Camas Martial Arts Programs are led by a team that includes Owner and Head Instructor Gil Mendiola; Judo Instructor Scott Gillis; BJJ Instructors Andre Warren, Hieu Duong, and Mihaela Loss; Wrestling Instructor Wayne Robbins IV; Strength & Conditioning Instructor Justin Byrd; and Yoga Instructor Jessie Warren. Staff credentials include: Gil Mendiola (Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Blue Belt in Judo), Scott Gillis (Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Brown Belt in Judo), and Mihaela Loss (Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Black Belt in Karate, and professional MMA fighter). The program’s mission is to make high-quality martial arts training accessible through affordable memberships, subsidized programs for those receiving government social services or living in low-income housing, and discounts for first responders. The Base Camas also offers subsidized programs for low-income individuals and families and discounts for first responders as part of its community involvement.
