About

Curiosity Camps gives campers time to conduct experiments, create art, build, and play. These fun camps integrate science, art, and outdoor play for an engaging summer learning experience. Curiosity Camps on Mercer Island – Summer 2026 – registration is open now, and families can join for curious and fun S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) adventures on Mercer Island.

Tim Lowell leads Curiosity Camps. He is a teaching member of the Bainbridge Island Arts in Education consortium and has been leading art and science enrichment programs in Puget Sound schools for over 15 years. He has worked in partnership with the Bainbridge Island Park Dept. in creating the popular Curiosity Camp Summer sessions and is a frequent workshop presenter at early childhood and elementary education conferences in Washington and Oregon. The camps are described as award winning enrichment programs. The program’s mission is that having fun with art, science and nature fosters lifelong appreciation and curiosity for learning.
