Mercer Island Martial Arts offers Karate for Kids, Self Defense, and Family Martial Arts Classes, along with pre-school aged martial arts, elementary aged martial arts, and teen martial arts classes. The program also offers adult martial arts for teens and adults.

About the provider
Mercer Island Martial Arts has served Mercer Island and the greater Seattle area since 1997. It was co-founded by Master Krista Wells and Master MeLisa Strongheart. Master Krista Wells is a 5th Degree Master Instructor, and Master MeLisa Strongheart is a 7th Degree Master Instructor. The program has received the 2022 Mercer Island PTA Council Community Partner Award, the Hometown Hero Award from the City of Mercer Island, and the Readers Choice Award for Best Martial Arts School from Patch Magazine. It also does food drives every year during Thanksgiving.
Offers a free trial and information package; one week free and free uniform is advertised online. Programs are designed for children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with special needs.
