• Schedule: Two 7 week skills clinics in the fall, two 3 weeks skills clinics in the winter, a 3 week hitting clinic in the spring, and club tournaments in the Puget Sound region from December to April
In the 2024-2025 season Ballard Volleyball Club hosted its first formal club team, the U14 Sockeye Slammin' Salmon, and the girls played in the Puget Sound Regional Volleyball power league. For the 2025-2026 season, the club plans to field a formal U15 girls club team through Puget Sound Regional Volleyball, with tournaments in the Puget Sound region from December to April and one travel tournament. The club director is Mike Galan, and the U15 head coach is Ellie Zimmerman. The Ballard Volleyball Club mission states that it aims to fill the space in the middle by offering affordable and shorter skills clinics throughout the year so that players can still develop and improve in volleyball without a large time and financial commitment, allowing young athletes to keep pace in volleyball while continuing to participate in other sports. For the club team, the stated mission is fundamentals and fun, with drills designed to help players develop proper form and reinforced through demonstration and repetition, with a focus on training in a competitive environment and having fun, and a goal to develop solid volleyball players that have a lifelong love of the sport. Families have the option to receive a Ballard Volleyball Club newsletter.
