Founded in 1969, Laurelhurst-View Ridge-Ravenna (LVR) Soccer Club states that its mission is to support Seattle youth soccer through inclusive and comprehensive recreational programs. LVR is the officially sanctioned organization charged with providing recreational soccer to children ages 5–18 in northeast Seattle and is a member of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association, which is part of Washington Youth Soccer and U.S. Youth Soccer. As part of the Seattle Youth Soccer Association, LVR’s designated boundary is defined as the area north of the Ship Canal bridge to NE 85th Street and from I-5 east to Lake Washington, and families are encouraged to register their kids in the club where they live, but there is no requirement to do so.

LVR is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization administered by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Over 1,500 kids played LVR Soccer in fall 2022, and the club reports that this makes LVR one of the largest recreational soccer clubs in Washington State. The club offers recreational soccer for kids ages 5 to 19 and notes that no more than 3 select players are allowed per team and that premier players are not allowed to participate in recreational soccer for fairness. LVR relies on volunteers to help with all aspects of the program, including coaching.

Chantel Anderson was selected as the Seattle Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) Girls Rec Coach of the Year. Chris Harris and Jun Han received the SYSA Boys Recreational Soccer Co-Coaches of the Year Award in 2025. Sneha Sastry was awarded the 2021 Boys Recreational Coach of the Year by the Seattle Youth Soccer Association.
