About
Summer Day Camps offers weekly themed sessions that include indoor and outdoor activities such as outdoor games, nature walks, picnics, painting, drawing, sculpting, daily challenges, puzzles, spy-themed adventures, and problem-solving. Campers take part in water games and aquatic activities, explore marine life and ocean habitats, learn about habitats, adaptations, and animals, and join sports, park exploration, wildlife exploration, and games. Activities also include creating tie-dye shirts, friendship bracelets, and homemade games; creating characters and designing comics; learning simple magic tricks, creating potions, doing chemistry experiments, and exploring the science behind magic; exploring barnyard animals, growing a mini garden, and learning about farm-to-table living; designing medals and competing in games; exploring traditions, dances, and foods of different countries; designing and building structures with Legos and recycled materials; bug exploration and related games; space exploration and discovering planets, stars, galaxies, and the universe; and creating a talent show with music, dance, and drama performances, with each week including a field trip.

• Schedule: Dates June 23–August 27, Monday–Friday, with camp hours from 7:00am–6:00pm
• Price: 5-Day Week: $468; 4-Day Week: $379.40 (week 2, June 30–July 3); 3-Day Week: $290.80 (week 10, August 25–27); one-time $50 registration fee for Summer Day Camps; $25 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit for each week included in price.
Each week is centered around a theme, and themes include activities such as park exploration, puzzle solving, water play, wildlife exploration, games, science, arts, space, magic, cultural exploration, architecture, sports, farm life, and talent shows. Scholarships and financial aid are available, and Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) subsidies are accepted. Programs are described as quality licensed childcare programs.
Associated Recreation Council (ARC) serves the city of Seattle by offering recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities and is the non-profit partner of Seattle Parks and Recreation. ARC partners with Seattle Parks & Recreation to provide licensed childcare programs throughout the summer at community centers and some Seattle Public Schools and is supported by a Board of Directors and more than 30 volunteer Advisory Councils across city neighborhoods. ARC has been offering recreation, childcare, and lifelong learning programs for over 50 years and is among the largest childcare providers in the state of Washington.
