Riverside Performing Arts Theatre Program

Riverside Performing Arts Theatre Program offers theatre classes, acting classes, musical theatre classes, improvisation classes, and private theatre lessons. The program includes options such as acting classes, musical theatre classes, and improvisation classes for different age groups, as well as private theatre lessons for all ages and skill levels.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Thursday 3:00pm–8:00pm and Friday 3:00pm–6:00pm
• Price: Annual registration fee: $35. Annual family registration fee: $50. 30 minute class: $520 per year or $52/month. 45 minute class: $700 per year or $70/month. 60 minute class: $850 per year or $85/month. 90 minute class: $1080 per year or $108/month. Adult classes: $65 per month. Production fees can vary from $40–$200 depending on the production. Costume fees: $60–$70 per class per student, billed as non refundable in October for the June performance.

The program includes a Mini Program for ages 2–7 years offering acting and musical theatre, a Recreational Program for ages 8 through adult, a Focus Program for ages 8–18 years that requires an instructor invitation, and an Adult Theatre Program for ages 18 and up. Acting classes are offered for ages 3–18 years, musical theatre classes for ages 3 through adult, and improvisation classes for ages 7–18 years. Private theatre lessons are available for all ages and skill levels.

Riverside Performing Arts states that it strives to provide students with a fun and encouraging environment where they can explore theatre. The program produces shows such as “The Wizard of Oz,” directed by Teacher Lindy, with auditions open to young performers from kindergarten through 5th grade who are registered in an acting class at Riverside Performing Arts. Rehearsals for “The Wizard of Oz” take place on Fridays from 4:30–6:30pm, with show dates on February 8–9th. The production fee for “The Wizard of Oz” is $150 and includes costume fittings, rehearsals, and pictures, and there are no costume fees for the late January/early February production. Ticket proceeds from “The Wizard of Oz” benefit the scholarship program. If a person volunteers for any production, that volunteer receives 2 or more free tickets to any production.
