Just Keep Swimming Summer Day Camps offers days that include crafts, gaga ball, field sports, games, sports, STEM activities, mindfulness activities, and snacks. Campers take part in swimming lessons and open swim, and the schedule also includes visits from special guests.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekly day camp from 8:00 am–4:00 pm, running the week of June 8 through the week of August 17, 2026, with camp held every week including the week of the 4th of July and closed on July 3, 2026; campers must be able to use the bathroom independently.
• Price: $375 per week, with a 10% multi-week discount for families who sign up for all 11 weeks.
Just Keep Swimming Summer Day Camps is led by Wisconsin Swim Academy owner Susie Van Ekeren. The camp is supported by a crew of lifeguard-certified instructors with almost 180 years of combined swim experience. Wisconsin Swim Academy began in 2008, when Susie Van Ekeren started teaching swim lessons from her backyard to earn money to pay for a pool heater. The program follows a mission that focuses on a loving, gentle approach to teaching swimming lessons by first earning a child’s trust and then building their confidence so they can become smart, strong kiddos both in and outside of the water, with safety named as the priority and confident swimmers described as safe swimmers. Wisconsin Swim Academy is a certified member of the United States Swim School Association (USSSA), which has over 400 member schools in 39 states and 16 countries worldwide. The organization states that its goal is to create an environment where families and team members have a sense of belonging and to find strength in caring and being cared for at home, at work, and out in the community.
One parent, Brandon B., shared that their 6-year-old and 4-year-old both attend and that their daughter, who had been scared to put her head under water, was swimming under the water after one session, and they would recommend the program to anyone. Another parent, Lindsey, reported taking lessons for almost a year, noted that lessons are individualized to meet her child’s needs with only two kids per lesson, and stated that each teacher has been knowledgeable, friendly, and able to get her child comfortable in the water and with their skills, recommending Wisconsin Swim Academy over any other place they have taken swimming lessons.
