About
Hendricks CareerTek offers activities such as career exploration, job shadows, youth apprenticeships, resume and cover letter writing, finance, Biz Tank, Craftsmen & Women of Character, and college support that includes application assistance, essay writing, and FAFSA preparation. The program also offers Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, healthcare exploration, SCRUBS, field trips, special events, Innovation Sprint, Summer Academies, Engineering Club, Explore Health Care, Explore Innovation, Explore Trades, and tours of its facilities. Students can take part in the Dare To Dream and Today’s Dreamers Tomorrow’s Leaders programs, as well as the Dare To Dream Community Construction Zone, which includes carpentry, concrete, masonry, demolition, surveying, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, paving, precast, roofing, heavy equipment, cranes, fire protection, and building design, along with galleries and videos featuring conversations with professionals about their careers and how interested students might prepare themselves.

• Schedule: Open during the school year Monday–Thursday and Friday, with separate summer hours Monday–Friday; offers 23 career exploration Summer Academies for students in 6th–12th grades, a 12-week Engineering Club for grades 9–12, and multiple four-Monday or four-Tuesday Explore sessions in health care, innovation, and trades.
Hendricks CareerTek states its mission as providing career exploration, career development, and career opportunities to youth in the Greater Beloit community.
