About

Menomonie Theater Guild Summer Camp Programs include summer camp productions that involve auditions, rehearsals, and set building. These activities take place in a studio setting within the Theater Guild’s own building, using dedicated spaces for performance, dance, sewing, music rehearsal, and set construction.

• Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 11:30–3:30 PM (box office hours)

Menomonie Theater Guild was created in December 1958 by a group of citizens concerned with the preservation of the Mabel Tainter Theater. It is the oldest existing community theater organization in Western Wisconsin and maintains its own home a few blocks from the Mabel Tainter Theater in downtown Menomonie. The organization states that it aspires to create a vibrant, diverse, and welcoming theatrical community based on respect and collaboration, with a goal of creating inclusive and accessible theater for all. The leadership team includes President Sifia Jevne, Vice-President Nell Heifner-Johnson, Treasurer Julee Reckin-Thierer, Secretary Sandy Nevin, Public Relations Chair Courtney Eberle, Volunteer Chair LeAnne Talberg, Members-at-Large Tricia Thompson, Maddie Olson, and Bethany Risler, Props Chair Robin Shay, Costume Chair Elaine Lacksonen, Play Reading Chair Courtney Ernste, Sets Co-Chairs Bob Butterfield and Jared Robinson, Lighting Chair Seth and Monica, and an open Sound Chair position. The Theater Guild Building includes a black box theater performance space, a dance studio, a sewing room, a music rehearsal room, offices, a full set building workshop in the basement, and a large collection of props and costumes on the second floor. Rehearsals, set building, and other activities take place in this building, with street parking available nearby and adjacent parking lots designated as permit-only.
