About
Neighborhood House of Milwaukee Youth & Teen Programs offers environmental education programs, Nature Time activities, and Family Adventures. These programs take place through its Youth & Teens programs and at its 90-acre NH Nature Center, where activities include producing natural maple syrup and supporting preservation of the federally endangered Rusty Patch Bumblebee. Family Adventures participants receive free tickets to local shows and cultural events.

Neighborhood House of Milwaukee was founded in 1945 to strengthen children and families in Milwaukee’s most underserved neighborhoods. Its mission is to inspire discovery in children and families of all backgrounds so they become lifelong learners and confident leaders among their peers, families, and communities. Neighborhood House of Milwaukee’s programs are described as award-winning and serve infants and toddlers, school-age and teen youth, adults and families, and refugees and immigrants. The organization’s Food Pantry served nutritious food to 6,713 community members, and 140 individuals participated in Family Adventures. The Early Childhood program provides care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 4 years, Youth & Teens programs serve ages 6–12 years, and Teen programs serve ages 13–19 years. The Nature Center offers environmental education programs and Nature Time activities for children of all ages, and the International Learning Program offers English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship classes.
