Sports Camp is a sports sampler program where participants play a variety of games, including flag football, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, soccer, floor hockey, tennis, kickball, basketball, and foosball. Each week a new activity is explored, and Sports Camp is held entirely outdoors. Participants are asked to come dressed for the weather.
• Ages: 9–12 years old
• Schedule: Meets Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
• Price: Resident: $290/session; Non-resident: $300/session
All staff have experience working with children, are CPR and First Aid certified, and participate in regular training. All camp staff are mandated by the state of Wisconsin and trained as mandatory reporters. The stated mission is that campers’ emotional and physical well-being and sense of personal safety is the number one concern. Children are supervised at all times and are not permitted to leave the program unless they are signed out by an authorized adult or have an approved alternative arrival and release form to bike or walk to the program. Monona Parks & Recreation offers a limited amount of partial scholarships to help get children to camp. No refunds are given once a class or program has started, and there are no prorated fees for registering after a program has begun. There are no fee reductions or reimbursements for absences for any reason, and the no refund policy also includes emergency weather closures.
