YMCA of the Fox Cities Youth Programs and Camps are part of the YMCA of the Fox Cities, which offers youth programs and camps across multiple YMCA branches and camp sites. • Schedule: All YMCA of the Fox Cities locations are closed on Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. All YMCA of the Fox Cities locations observe the following holiday hours: Thanksgiving Day from 6:00–11:00 AM (with Apple Creek YMCA closed), New Year’s Eve from 5:00 AM–5:00 PM, New Year’s Day from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, and January 15, 2026, when all buildings close at 4:00 PM.
For over 136 years, the YMCA of the Fox Cities has been a unifying force in the Fox Valley. In 1844, George Williams started the YMCA, and in 1887, Frank Harwood and other community leaders started the YMCA in Appleton. The YMCA of the Fox Cities states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice by promoting youth, adult and family activities that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. It operates as a nonprofit organization that offers health, hope and opportunity, with volunteers, donors, leaders and partners involved across the country.
