Glacial Community YMCA Children & Youth Programs include activities such as pickleball, group exercise classes, climbing wall use, racquetball, volleyball, and wallyball. The programs also include Children & Youth Nights, wellness workshops, and Healthy Minds workshops. In addition, participants can take part in mission trips, service projects, and blood drives connected with the Glacial Community YMCA.

• Price: Mission to Valparaiso, Chile trip cost: $2,600 per person; Non-refundable $500 deposit due at time of registration
The Glacial Community YMCA decided in 2017 to take its mission international by forming partnerships. It has partnerships with Esperanza Viva, a Christian youth home and orphanage in Puebla, Mexico, and with the YMCA of Valparaiso, Chile, and it sends teams to serve and build relationships within these organizations. The Mission to Valparaiso, Chile is described as a cross-culture exchange and a service-oriented trip focused on underprivileged children, youth, and adults of Valparaiso and of the Jorge Williams School, and Valparaiso is described as a UNESCO World Heritage City. For this mission trip, the ACJ (YMCA) of Valparaiso will be the host and will provide lodging, most meals, and tour guiding for sightseeing around Valparaiso and Santiago, and the trip cost includes airfare, in-country transportation, lodging and most meals at the YMCA, travel insurance, and team apparel.
The mission statement for the Glacial Community YMCA is: “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.” Leadership for the Mission to Valparaiso, Chile includes Heather Burkle as team leader and Bruce Osborn as Director of Spiritual Development. The Glacial Community YMCA is part of a nonprofit organization of over 2,700 Ys located in 10,000 communities across the United States. It also hosts community events such as blood drives and “Touch a Truck.” The YMCA at Pabst Farms Endowment Board of Trustees approved funding for a new lactation pod in the facility.
