Little Dumplings Early Learning Center

Little Dumplings Early Learning Center offers an educationally enriching environment with a variety of developmentally appropriate learning activities and play experiences. The program bases its approach on the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and focuses on the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of each child. The center maintains a family-oriented, non-corporate feel and provides personalized care for children, with teachers known by their first names.

Since 2011, Little Dumplings Early Learning Center has operated with a stated mission of providing a warm, friendly, safe atmosphere for children in its care. The center lists goals for children that include positive interaction with others, access to varied and challenging play materials and equipment, and guidance in using these materials creatively and constructively. Additional goals for children include developing music, art, and readiness skills; language and vocabulary skills; small and large motor skills; and activities and projects that stimulate intellectual development. The program also identifies goals of encouraging a sense of well-being and self-esteem, teaching respect by showing respect, and supporting a positive attitude toward learning.

The center also states goals for parents and guardians, including providing peace of mind by offering what it describes as the best quality care possible. It aims to support parents and guardians while they pursue work or other interests, and to give them chances to take part in their child’s daily activities and interests at the center. The program includes parent forums where issues and solutions can be openly discussed and offers Parent Teacher Conferences on a regular basis.
