About
Children & Youth Nights offers several themed evening events, including Parent's Night Out, Youth Nights: After Hours, Live Yers: Youth Night, and Game On! Middle School Night. Parent's Night Out events take place in the Kid's Gym, and Youth Nights: After Hours, Live Yers: Youth Night, and Game On! Middle School Night are part of the same Children & Youth Nights series.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Parent's Night Out (ages 4–8) at 4:00 PM on February 27 and March 13; Youth Nights: After Hours (ages 8–13) at 5:30 PM on March 14; Live Yers: Youth Night (ages 8–13) at 5:30 PM on March 14; Game On! Middle School Night (ages 10–14) at 8:00 PM on March 20
The Children & Youth Nights program is part of the Glacial Community YMCA. The Glacial Community YMCA states its mission as: “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.” The Glacial Community YMCA is part of a nonprofit organization of over 2,700 Ys in 10,000 communities across the United States. The leadership for this area includes Bruce Osborn, Director of Spiritual Development. Since 2017, the Glacial Community Y has formed international partnerships with Esperanza Viva in Puebla, Mexico, and the YMCA of Valparaiso, Chile. The organization describes its approach with the phrase “Everyone Belongs at the Y!”
