About

Camp One Step provides free year-round camp experiences for kids with cancer and their families. The program offers FREE in-person and digital camps, including Digital Family Camp, Milwaukee Day Camp, Brain Tumor Family Camp, and Camp One Step Heroes. Camp One Step serves kids with cancer who are newly diagnosed, in treatment, or in remission, along with their siblings and parents.

• Ages: 0–18 years old

Camp One Step offers a Digital Family Camp for families with a diagnosed child age 0–19 and a Brain Tumor Family Camp for families with a child who has a brain or CNS tumor age 0–19. Milwaukee Day Camp serves diagnosed campers, survivors, and siblings ages 5–10, and Camp One Step Heroes is for returning campers ages 5 and older. The organization has more than 45 years of experience and has served over 20,000 campers, with over 400 volunteers donating their time. Inclusion, accessibility, connections, and empowerment are stated as core to the mission. The mission of Camp One Step is to provide free year-round camp experiences for kids with cancer and their families that foster joy, belonging, confidence, and lifelong friendships. The leadership team includes Devin Ryan-Holanda, Jessica Hopper, Lucy Burzynski, Madeline Brown, Susie Burke, Erin Senft, Paige Hoesley, Jill Kulbok Carlson, Tara Bond, and Hannah Smith-Davis. Camp One Step gives special thanks to generous corporations and organizations in the community that support its mission.
