Happy Day Montessori School

Happy Day Montessori School follows Dr. Maria Montessori’s method, with classrooms where children move, touch, manipulate, and explore materials. The program uses daily stimulating activities and lesson plans designed for each child so they can explore their interests at their own pace. The Montessori curriculum at this program covers practical life, sensorial, language, math, culture, and geography, and children have the freedom to choose their work with guidance from the teacher.

The mission of Happy Day Montessori School is to provide a safe, warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children to grow and learn, and to prepare each child emotionally, physically, and mentally for a successful future. The program states that it makes the childhood experience memorable and supports a lifelong love for learning. Beautiful classrooms offer a cozy circle of first-time friends and support younger preschoolers’ sense of order and beauty, concentration, coordination, and independence. Multi-age classrooms provide a diverse cultural experience, and children learn to work independently based on their own initiative, which the program states builds concentration, a love of learning, self-esteem, excellent problem-solving skills, and self-discipline. Teachers are described as dedicated to serving the needs of the whole child mentally, physically, and emotionally, and to creating an optimal AMS style traditional Montessori environment.
