About
AYSO Region 13 Soccer Programs offers youth soccer where kids take part in soccer games and practices. The program also involves coaching, refereeing, and team managing as part of its activities. Launch sports and LA Grassroots provide soccer classes and sports camps, including soccer, connected with this program.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Fall Soccer is from September to December, 2025
• Price: Everyone plays in Region 13, so it’s pay-what-you-can on the honor system.
AYSO Region 13 Soccer Programs is a volunteer, non-profit program. The program states that every player on every team must play at least half of every game, and in the Region 13 Core Fall 6U–14U program, every player plays three quarters. Each year, new teams are formed to be as evenly balanced as possible. The program is open to all children 3 to 18 years of age who want to register and play soccer, and interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing. AYSO’s mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs that promote a fun, family environment based on six philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. The Regional Commissioner is Terry Takahashi. Community support comes from Launch sports and LA Grassroots, Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, the Capital Group, and the LA84 foundation, and technology partners include Google Workspace, Slack, Email Octopus, Campaign Monitor, and Twilio.
