Hospitality Academy offers career exploration and job training for at-risk teenagers. The program has trained more than 850 teens through Hospitality Academy at four Anaheim high schools.
Hospitality Academy is part of Caterina’s Club, whose mission is to provide warm meals, affordable housing assistance, and job training to homeless and low-income families throughout Southern California. The program’s leadership includes Chef Bruno Serato and Associate Executive Director Iris Castillo. Chef Bruno Serato has been named one of CNN’s 10 Heroes of the Year, honored on the steps of the U.S. Capitol with a humanitarian award, and knighted by the Italian Government with the title Sir Bruno Serato. Caterina’s Club continues to host a food distribution at the Anaheim White House every Monday for the local community. Chef Bruno Serato is noted as the only chef in the world serving 5,055 underprivileged children warm meals every day.
