Camp Alandale is a Christian camp that focuses on the gospel of Jesus Christ and is not affiliated with any church or denomination. It serves abused and neglected children in 4th–12th grade through a mountain camp program, and all campers are foster children who live in group homes or foster homes. The camp maintains a 2:1 camper-to-counselor ratio, with 20–26 campers per week for five summer camps and 20–28 campers per weekend for four winter camps. Since 1980, and with the help of many volunteer counselors, over 4,000 special children have been touched by the love of Jesus Christ. Camp Alandale’s mission statement is that it exists to introduce abused children to the life-changing reality of Jesus Christ and equip them to lead meaningful and productive lives. The ministry of Camp Alandale is fully supported by donations of time and finances from churches, companies, and individuals. The camp is covered by liability insurance, sickness and accident insurance, and auto insurance.
