Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers educational programming, the arts, health and wellness, leadership and service, and sports and recreation. It also offers Money Matters for ages 13 to 18, CareerLaunch for ages 13 to 18, Stollmeyer STEAM Challenge for grades 7th through 12th, Keystone Club for ages 14 to 18, Youth of the Year, and Torch Club for ages 10 to 13.

• Money Matters — 13-18 · Promotes financial responsibility and independence; builds basic money management skills; participants learn how to set goals, budget, save and invest.
• CareerLaunch — 13 to 18 · Job-readiness and career preparation program with fun and interactive activities.
• Stollmeyer STEAM Challenge — grades 7th-12th · Offered seasonally 4 times per year
• Keystone Club — 14-to-18 · Promotes character and leadership qualities among Club teens; focuses on community service, academic success, career preparation and teen outreach.
• Youth of the Year — Youth leadership program honoring extraordinary young people and their achievements in leadership, service, academics excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle.
• Torch Club — 10-13 · Focuses on youth leadership and service; members participate in service experiences and projects developed and implemented by Torch Club members themselves.

About the provider

The program has served children since the first doors opened in 1966. It serves members in Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Paso Robles, Shandon, Atascadero, and San Luis Obispo, and reaches an additional 4,000 local children each year through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs.
