Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers activities that include jewelry making as part of its programs. The program includes safe, educational, and fun programs for local youth and offers safe, inclusive spaces and experiences that empower members’ learning and growth. Programs are designed to achieve priority outcomes for lifetime success in the areas of Education, Character, and Health, and provide youth with adults who mentor and tutor members.

• Ages: 6–18 years old

Since the first doors opened in 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has provided programs for local youth and has expanded from one building to two counties and multiple Clubs. In 2023, the organization expanded programming to include service to children enrolled in TK/Kindergarten programs. The organization benefits an additional 4,000 local children each year through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast provides youth with a safe place for afterschool child development programming, provides healthy daily snacks, and continually updates and innovates safety policies, programs, and training for Club staff and volunteers designed to protect young people. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast is to provide places where kids can go after school and during the summer to grow beyond the classroom. An alumni statistic from the organization reports that 57% of alumni say the Club saved their life. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has invited the local community together to highlight important statistics regarding youth in the San Luis Obispo area.
