Placer Nature Center Programs take place in an outdoor classroom setting and can include docent-led programs in a fun, stimulating and safe environment. The center serves as a resource for educators to learn methods and find material for teaching about natural systems. It is also a place for discovering natural and cultural history and exploring how nature is linked with the arts, literature, history, and science.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00am–2:00pm

Placer Nature Center has been providing environmental education since 1991. Its mission is to deliver community-based, volunteer supported environmental education programs to children, families, schools, and community groups. Placer Nature Center’s vision is to be a partner with, and a resource for, local schools, community groups, and agencies as they work together to deliver knowledge and model behaviors that make the community scientifically literate and ecologically sustainable. PNC is a 501.c3 not-for-profit corporation inspiring stewardship of the earth through environmental education.
