Shaolin Culture Center After School Enrichment Program takes place at the main branch of Shaolin Culture Center, a traditional and trusted Shaolin Kung Fu training academy and after school program in the Bay Area. The Shaolin Kung Fu training center is described as able to accommodate all aspects of training. The program is led by Grand Master Yung Chi Chung, the founder and establisher of Shaolin Culture Center. Shaolin Culture Center was established in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1989 and has expanded to Los Angeles, Fremont, Oakland, Mountain View, and San Jose.
The program includes strength and balance-focused Kung Fu classes that use traditional Kung Fu techniques and strong stances. The program focuses on children’s success by building self-esteem, discipline, determination, and confidence. It provides performance opportunities and states that safety is the first priority, with athletes always active and safe with full-time instructors and masters.
Shaolin’s stated objective is to promote the international exchange of culture, enhance the standards of martial art, teach students how to protect their health, and disseminate traditional culture.
