For teens, the Teen Art Program (TAP) includes art making and skill development, apprenticeships with professional artists, and mentoring and community service through roles such as gallery docents, art workshop leaders for Family Art Days, and participants in off-site community art projects.

Arts Benicia’s mission is to stimulate, educate, and nurture cultural life in Benicia primarily through the visual arts.
Arts Benicia is a non-profit art center supporting the visual arts in the community and serves the population of Solano County. Arts Benicia youth and teen programs are funded by grants from The Sato Foundation, the Wilson Family Foundation, and Valero Benicia Refinery, and are also funded by supporters. Arts Benicia Presents rotating exhibitions and art receptions at local businesses and City Hall. Solano Water Stories exhibitions and events were made possible by a grant from the California Arts Council Creative Corps program and the Sacramento Office of Arts & Culture, and included a media campaign featuring original artworks and educational exhibitions across Solano County, including displays on SolTrans regional buses.
For thirty years, Arts Benicia produced exhibitions in a 2,400-square-foot space in the historic Arsenal, acquired in 1993, and in January 2022 it moved to the historic Commanding Officer’s Quarters. One participant stated, “I love coming to class and immersing myself in the experience of creating something new.” An Arts Benicia visitor stated, “Arts Benicia presents interesting art all over town, from Happy Life Pottery to City Council Chambers.”
