About

BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation offers adaptive cycling, fitness, adult sports, adventures and outings, power soccer, and wheelchair rugby. The program includes community-led adaptive recreation programming and uses an accessible bus as part of its activities. BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation also hosts the annual Revolution Ride event, the BORP Adaptive Sports Expo, and the Revolution Ride, Roll, & Stroll.

Founded in 1976, BORP Adaptive Sports & Recreation focuses on adaptive athletic and outdoor programs for individuals with mobility and vision disabilities. Its mission is to empower individuals with mobility and vision disabilities through programs that build independence, health, and community. BORP’s roots are in Berkeley and its reach extends across the Bay Area with regular programs in San Francisco and San Jose and virtual programs that can be accessed from anywhere in the world. The program is described as the Bay Area’s main provider of high-quality adaptive sports and recreation programs and highlights fun, fitness, and community as key features.
