About

KIDS for the BAY Summer Camp includes activities such as exploring meadows and redwood groves, hiking along creeks, and discovering insects in ponds. Campers watch river otters swimming, birds feeding, and turtles sunbathing in lakes, and they visit bay and ocean beaches for tide pooling and animal tracking. The program also includes hands-on science investigations, environmental stewardship, nature games, art projects, team building activities, games, and nature walks.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm, with flexible morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, plus optional after-camp care from 3:30–5:00pm

KIDS for the BAY Summer Camp offers Summer Camp sessions for youth ages 5–11, middle school Camp Ranger helpers ages 12–13, and high school Leaders in Training ages 14–17. Junior Camp Leaders ages 16–17 hold paid positions. Camp groups include campers, middle school Camp Ranger helpers, high school Leaders in Training, year-round Educators, Summer Camp Leaders, and Junior Camp Leaders, with a camper to staff ratio of 7:1 or less. All Camps are led by year-round KIDS for the BAY Educators. The program offers early bird, multiple-week, and sibling discounts, and scholarship spaces are available. Parents drive their own campers for drop-off and pick-up, and KIDS for the BAY provides buses for special field trip days. A fun and relaxing after-camp care Nature Club program runs daily from 3:30–5:00pm. Adventurers campers must be five years old by the first day of the camp session, and Explorers campers must be eight years old by the first day of the camp session. Summer Camp registration is open, sessions fill fast, and waitlist registration has no charge, with families contacted if a space becomes available. KIDS for the BAY will follow all city and county guidelines to ensure the health and safety of campers, staff, and families.

KIDS for the BAY has 32 years of impact. The organization collaborates with teachers to connect students with nature, inspire environmental action, turn students on to science, and create lasting impact. KIDS for the BAY helps children find joy in connecting with nature, gets children excited about learning hands-on science, inspires environmental action and creates a lasting impact.
