UCMAP has partnerships with Yongin University and Korean National Sport University, and the Korean Ministry of Culture and Sports awarded money to UC Berkeley to ensure that the program would continue to teach Asian philosophy and culture for years to come. The future of the UCMAP was secured in 1995 with an award of a one-million-dollar endowment by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Korea and the World Taekwondo Federation, and this gift is officially named the Ken Min Endowed Directorship for Taekwondo and the Martial Arts.
