Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center Swim Programs offers swim lessons, lap swim, structured swim workouts, and recreational swim time. The program also includes water exercise classes, therapeutic swim classes, toddler time, lifeguard training, CPR & Lifeguard Training, scuba classes, and pool rentals for parties.

Pleasant Valley Aquatic Center Swim Programs takes place in a facility that includes a 25-yard indoor heated pool kept at 81–83 degrees with 8 swim lanes, a one-meter diving board, and a 4–12 foot depth range, as well as a 65-foot spiral indoor waterslide. The facility also has locker rooms with restrooms and showers, a hydraulic lift to lower handicap visitors in and out of the pool, an outdoor patio, a vending machine, and availability for pool rentals and parties. Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District, which operates these programs, was formed in January 1962 and states that it will provide and maintain a full range of quality facilities and programs focused on leisure, recreational and athletic activities for residents of the District, supporting both organized activities and casual use for all age groups.
