Creative Arts & Media includes activities in media production and visual arts. Participants spend time creating projects in these two areas as part of the program.
Futures Explored leads Creative Arts & Media with a mission that is led by the choices of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and focuses on creating equitable access to relevant programs, supports, and advocacy. Futures Explored is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization was founded in Lafayette, California, by a group of parents, young adults, and the first director, Helen Young, and it originally began as “The Enterprise,” a small, handcrafted goods program run largely by volunteers. Its programs include Community Connections, Employment + Education, Film & Media, and Personal Wellness.
