About
One Tribe Martial Arts Academy offers Kung Fu training, sparring, and a combination of authentic Kung Fu and modern kickboxing. Students can take part in weapons training with traditional Chinese weapons from staff to sword, lion dance performance, competition and performances, Kung Fu camp, and Kung Fu birthday parties that include games and Kung Fu themed arts and crafts. The academy also offers adult kickboxing, including kickboxing drills and adult kickboxing sparring, as well as seminars and workshops on martial arts concepts, self-defense, and cultural traditions.

• Schedule: Class options are available Monday through Saturday, with morning and evening classes on multiple days.
• Price: $30/person, 10 person minimum (for Kung Fu birthday parties)
One Tribe Martial Arts Academy was formerly known as Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy and is affiliated with Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy. Programs include the Tiger Team program for ages 3–6, the Dragon Team program for ages 6–12, a teen and adult Kung Fu program, an adult kickboxing program covering basic striking and throwing techniques involved in Chinese Sanda/Sanshou, and a Kung Fu camp for ages 6–12 during school breaks. Kung Fu birthday parties are offered for ages 3 to 83 and can include lion dance, a Kung Fu class, board breaking, games, and cleanup, with tables and chairs provided.
The leadership team includes Sifu Mike Lee as Chief Instructor and CEO, Sifu Luke Neher as Program Manager and Instructor, and Master Peter Barbosa as Instructor. The academy offers an unlimited class option to train six days a week, morning and evening, and has a lion dance performance team available for special events such as weddings, grand openings, and birthday parties. Students can represent One Tribe Martial Arts Academy in tournaments and community showcases. The academy has been voted Best Martial Arts Academy by Bay Area Parent's Magazine “Best of the Best 2024.”
According to its mission statement, One Tribe Martial Arts Academy focuses on developing a strong mind and fit body, encourages teamwork and a strong sense of community, and emphasizes confidence, concentration, discipline, respect, academic development, and character development for children. The programs honor the roots of traditional Chinese martial arts while using modern training methods, with a curriculum that includes practical self-defense techniques, traditional Kung Fu forms, physical conditioning in the junior student program, and a high-intensity kickboxing workout. The academy uses the slogans “Alone we are strong... together we are STRONGER.” and “Alone we are strong... Together we are ONE TRIBE.”
