Kesem offers Camp Kesem and related programs that include free, fun-filled creative programs for children who have a parent with a cancer diagnosis or who have lost a parent to cancer. The program includes Camp Kesem, Club Kesem, Friends + Family Day, Kesem Together, virtual monthly events, and on-site gatherings in the community for kids while their parents receive care. Camp Kesem is described as a free summer camp where kids can be kids again, and Club Kesem consists of virtual monthly events for year-round connection.

Kesem’s programs are led by passionate and expertly trained college students, Kesem alumni, and staff. Kesem’s programs are described as clinically proven, based on a peer-reviewed paper from Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Kesem is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in every part of the organization, and its core values are Continuous Learning, Accountability, Resilience, Empathy, and Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Kesem is described as a child's friend through and beyond a parent's cancer.
A former Kesem camper and college student volunteer shared, “Because of Kesem, I am a better human... I've learned what it means to lead with empathy. I've grown stronger, kinder, and more open-hearted. I've found a family that inspires me to be my best self.” A Kesem parent shared, “Camp Kesem has been magical for our daughter and family, providing support beyond what we could have imagined and really lifting our daughter up when she needed it. It's an incredible program that we are very grateful for!”
