About
ZeroGravity PDA (Pro Development Academy) is a youth soccer program that includes both field player training and goalkeeper training. The program follows ZeroGravity training programs, methodology, and philosophy to develop players at different stages.
ZeroGravity PDA is described as Ventura County's newest youth soccer program and offers development, recreational, and competitive programs. It offers specific programs that target high-level training opportunities to develop the technical, tactical, and psychological aspects of the game. The program is described as player focused and team driven, with a player-centric approach, and emphasizes team unity and mutual “coopertition.” It uses a learning methodology that adapts to each goalkeeper and coach, integrating their goalkeeping knowledge with coaching tools to design a tailored program. The mission of ZeroGravity includes offering European training, education, and support to players, coaches, and programs worldwide, and aiming to impart the values of respect, commitment, and fair play.
The leadership team includes Robert Gutierrez as Director and Roberto Navajas as Founder and Goalkeeper Coordinator for the Mexican Football Federation. Robert Gutierrez brings over 40 years of futbol knowledge and over 30 years of national and international coaching experience. His professional playing experience includes time in Mexico with UdeG Bachelors under Luis Placencia, and in the United States with the L.A. Salsa and the SF Valley Golden Eagles under Rialdo Menendez. He holds a “C” Coaching License from the USSF, has coached at the academy, collegiate, and professional levels, and was a goalkeeper coach under Steve Sampson at CSU Channel Islands. He has trained several goalkeepers from various universities throughout Southern California, works with young goalkeepers, and continues to be an active volunteer throughout the community.
Roberto Navajas is described as an expert in personal player development who emphasizes strong personal relationships with the goalkeepers he works with. He has presented at several conferences around the world regarding his goalkeeper training methodology and has been a keynote speaker to the Spanish Futbol Federation as a Master Specialist in the training of futbol goalkeepers. He has created a learning methodology that adapts to each goalkeeper and coach and serves as the Goalkeeper Coordinator for the Mexican Football Federation. The program notes a congratulatory message recognizing him as the official Goalkeeper Coordinator for the Mexican Football Federation.
