Pacific Crest Music Lessons offers 30-minute, 45-minute, and one-hour music lessons. Students can take brass lessons on trumpet, mellophone, French horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium, and tuba; woodwind lessons on flute, clarinet, and saxophone; concert percussion lessons on mallets, snare drum, and drum set; and marching percussion lessons on mallets, snare drum, tenors, and bass drum. The program also offers professional series flute lessons, professional series French horn lessons, and professional series drum set lessons, with options for students to choose their level of intensity and set their own goals for lessons.

Pacific Crest Music Lessons is part of the Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization, whose mission is to provide superior educational and competitive performing arts programs that change the lives of young people in the greater Southern California region and prepare them for leadership in a fast-moving world. The organization is Southern California’s only Drum Corps International (DCI) World Class Drum and Bugle Corps and represents Southern California at the DCI World Championships annually. Pacific Crest is funded in part by the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors through Los Angeles County Arts & Culture, and Pacific Crest and Fontana Unified School District have announced a partnership.
Instructors include Matt Miller, an active composer and arranger for marching ensembles throughout Southern California who holds a Master of Music degree in film scoring from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Music degree in music composition from California State University, Long Beach, and who marched five years with the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps as a euphonium soloist and section leader. Joelle Westerfield is a band director in Texas with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education, tuba and voice training, experience teaching band, orchestra, chorus, general music, and musical theatre, and marching experience with the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps and United Percussion. Bobby Bonslater is an educator, designer, and performer based in Chicago with experience performing with and teaching multiple DCI and DCA drum and bugle corps and WGI ensembles, is an active performing member of the Chicago Bears Drumline, is the Founder of Bonslater Creative Designs and the Chicago Youth Arts Organization, and has received Superior Ratings and top honors for WGI’s 2020 and 2021 Solo and Ensemble for both trumpet and clarinet in the 19+ category. Additional staff include Andrew Fresquez, a Pacific Crest alumnus and drum major who is studying Music Performance on bass trombone at California State University, Fullerton; Michael Ma, a Pacific Crest alumnus and French horn performer with a Bachelor of Music degree in French horn performance and music education from Chapman University; and Zach Sheller, a music education student at the University of Texas at Arlington who serves as principal euphonium for the UTA Wind Symphony and has taught private lessons and marching band in the greater Austin and Dallas–Fort Worth areas.
