About
Little Groms Surf Camp includes surfing, swimming, boogie boarding, and bodysurfing, along with group warm-up and stretching. Each camp day also includes discussion of ocean conditions, an overview of currents, daily safety lessons, beach games, and instruction in surfing fundamentals, bodysurfing techniques, boogie boarding, ocean swimming skills, and ocean safety and awareness.
• Ages: 5–8 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camps in consecutive weekly sessions from June 1st through the first week of September, with Monday–Friday morning or afternoon options
• Price: $475 for the week
The program’s mission is to provide every student with the highest quality instruction in a fun, supportive environment. The camp offers small group instruction, an emphasis on ocean awareness from the start, and a focus on ocean safety, beach etiquette, and proper surfing technique. Experienced instructors encourage each child to progress at their own pace, and the camp does not push students beyond their comfort level or cut corners on safety instruction. Families are asked to provide a wetsuit, snack, water, and a dry towel, while the camp provides surfboards and boogie boards, with the option for children to bring their own boogie board. Calls related to the camp go to Concept Surf Shop at (760) 753-6870.
