Montessori School of Encinitas

Montessori School of Encinitas offers an Infant Program for children from 6 weeks with licensed care for eighteen infants and a one to four ratio. It also offers a Toddler Program, a Pre-School Prep program for children 18 to 30 months or until toilet trained, whichever comes first, and a Preschool Program for children between ages 2 1/2 and Kindergarten. The Preschool Program is entirely Montessori based, and children have the freedom to move around their environment and satisfy needs for imitation, repetition, and movement.

Programs

• Infant Program — from 6 weeks · Licensed to care for eighteen infants, with a one to four ratio. Caring and fully trained teachers provide a comfortable and loving atmosphere. Nurturing, stimulating, and soothing environment.
• Toddler Program — Provides continuation in the care of children from infancy and brings them through their development into the preschool prep stage.
• Pre-School Prep — 18 to 30 months or until toilet trained, whichever comes first · Dedicated to children between the ages of 18 to 30 months or until toilet trained, whichever comes first.
• Preschool Program — between ages 2 1/2 and Kindergarten · Entirely Montessori based. Children have the opportunity to enjoy the freedom to move around their environment and satisfy inner needs for imitation, repetition, and movement.

Its mission is dedicated to the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and the belief that her teachings provide a scientifically based system that aids the child during early development and throughout life. The school provides programs for children from 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a social community concerned with the total development of children in a relaxed atmosphere, free of criticism and competition.

The school upholds the right of the child to progress at his own pace, in his own individual way and to be provided with the aids he needs for physical, emotional, social and intellectual normal development. The Montessori classroom is a social community concerned with the total development of children in a relaxed atmosphere, free of criticism and competition.
