Degas Dance Studio states that it is dedicated to instructing, educating and inspiring children to advanced professional performers in the art of dance. The faculty consists of LA top industry professionals, many of whom teach master classes all over the world. It is described as a performance and career oriented studio with pre-professional opportunities for kids through professional adults, and it offers both recreational instruction for ages 3 through high school teens and accelerated Academy professional training for team students. The studio presents real-life performance opportunities through annual Nutcracker productions and original end-of-year theatre productions, and Degas Team students participate in dance competitions, community and charitable events, music videos, commercials, and films. Degas Dance Studio is an award-winning dance studio for young kids and teens, and alumni have received National Young Arts recognition, Music Center Spotlight Honorable Mentions and Semi-Finalist placements, and YAGP 1st Place awards. The studio is named after French painter Edgar Degas, known for painting dancers, and notes a focus on creating, inspiring, educating, and empowering well-rounded artists to explore and discover the art of dance and its possibilities. In 2023 Degas Dance Studio completed its franchise business and is selecting franchisees for additional locations throughout the US and EU, and it also has an international location, Degas International Dance Academy, in Delft, Netherlands.
