Tri City Aikido – Aikido for Children offers self-defense classes that include empty hand applications, ground training, and work with weapons such as sword, staff, and knife. Children also practice weapons disarming, Aikido sword (kenjitsu) training, Aikido staff (bojitsu) training, and Aikido knife training (tanto) as part of a complete curriculum.

Tri City Aikido Dojo is a traditional Japanese martial arts school that offers a unique training experience in the martial art of Aikido, with all training done in a traditional Japanese setting that includes culture, language, etiquette, terminology, and philosophy. The dojo offers non-competitive self-defense training in a very friendly atmosphere, with programs for kids, teens, and adults, including three children’s self-defense classes for ages 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12. The program includes dynamic classes that develop balance, awareness, discipline, and real-world self-defense skills, and it offers a free trial class with no experience necessary, with no charge or obligation.

Tri City Aikido Dojo was established in 1996 and has stayed involved with its local communities for over 28 years. It is described as the senior Aikido dojo in the area and as one of the Bay Area’s top martial arts schools. The dojo is a member of the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan, and its parent school is the Kumano Jyuku dojo in Shingu, Japan, which is described as the oldest Aikido dojo in the world and has been teaching Aikido for over 60 years. Tri City Aikido has received the honor and privilege of being an official satellite school of the Kumano Jyuku dojo.

Anthony Campagna Sensei leads the Tri City Aikido dojo and holds the rank of Godan (5th-degree black belt) through the Aikikai. Tasaka Shihan, a Nanadan (7th-degree black belt) and head instructor at the Kumano Jyuku dojo in Shingu, Japan, makes yearly or annual visits to Tri City Aikido in Fremont, CA/the Bay Area to teach. Tri City Aikido stays involved with its local communities and is proudly serving Milpitas, Fremont, Union City, Newark, Hayward, and nearby communities, with quick access for Milpitas residents. The dojo offers a free trial class for visitors from Milpitas and nearby communities.
