• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Personalized classes on a consistent schedule year-round, seven days a week
• Price: Classes range from $33–$37 per lesson.
American Swim Academy has been teaching the Bay Area to swim since 1973 and was founded over 50 years ago, and it is still owned and operated by the Alberti family. The mission of American Swim Academy is to provide an exceptional program designed to teach students to swim through high-quality instruction that instills a life-long love of the water. The program offers smaller class sizes, parent participation AQUAbabies classes, and a Water Adaptation Program with specialized swim lessons for children of all abilities, including those with Autism, in a calm, patient environment.
The program offers a Free Trial Swim Class for new and first-time swimmers, based on availability and not combinable with other offers. It also offers a weekday special at the Fremont and Newark locations, where families can save $15 on swim classes before 1:40 PM, and a member referral program that provides a free class every time a friend joins, with no limits. Testimonials from parents describe instructors and front desk staff by name, note smaller instructor-to-student ratios, and mention that facilities are maintained and kept clean, with family changing rooms, showers before each lesson session, and ample seating to view lessons. The program states that it proudly supports Autism Acceptance Month in April and welcomes children of all abilities, including those with Autism.
