Choi’s Martial Arts was founded in 1996 and has been serving the communities of Union City and Fremont for nearly 30 years. The leadership team includes Grandmaster Choi, Master Park, Master Leo, Jr. Master Leo, and Mrs. Choi. The program describes itself as family oriented Tae Kwon Do training and states that students are trained to diffuse conflict, defend themselves, and develop their character and leadership abilities, with results that reach beyond the dojang to school, work, and home. Its mission is to develop martial artists who demonstrate confidence, focus, respect, and integrity in life. For almost 30 years, Choi’s Martial Arts has contributed to the communities of Fremont and Union City. Grandmaster Choi left Korea in 1989 to bring the benefits of Tae Kwon Do abroad, settling in Paris, France, and later he and Mrs. Choi left France to open their first dojang in the East Bay.
