Engineering For Kids of Alameda, Contra Costa, and Santa Clara Counties offers hands-on STEM activities such as building rockets, creating video games, designing a hot air balloon, and building their own robo-arm. Kids also take core samples from a potato, attempt to land an egg, design and build a physical prototype of their own Mars base, program robots for missions, and build with Lego SPIKE. The program includes a space-themed STEM program called Mission to Mars, which uses EFK’s Engineering Design Process in activities such as Mission to Mars with Minecraft and Robotic Mission to Mars.
