• Schedule: Ms. Jem's Children's classes meet in the evenings on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday; the Fiber Arts Group meets every other Monday from 5–7 pm; Artists Supporting Artists meets next on April 5, 2026 from 1–3 pm; monthly art demos take place on the first Wednesday of each month; current gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday (and some Fridays) from 12–5 pm.
Since 1959 the Fremont Art Association has offered local artists, collectors, students, and art enthusiasts a venue that combines a showcase storefront gallery and a working studio. The Studio is described as an eclectic mixture of groups and classes, and the Shop displays and sells members' work, with proceeds from sales shared between the artist and the Fremont Art Association to pay for expenses. The organization operates as a cooperative enterprise staffed by member volunteers, and members bring in new work on a quarterly basis.
The mission of the Fremont Art Association is to enhance the creation and enjoyment of art in all its forms, and this mission guides the group to offer new and interesting ways for people to incorporate art into their lives. Each monthly meeting offers a demonstration or speaker free of charge, and monthly art demos are free and open to all, with both Zoom and in-person sessions. All activities and membership are open to the public.
The current leadership team includes President Mary Bobik, Gallery Director Carol Ramos, Treasurer Seema Gupta, Program Chair and Webmaster Rosy Thethy, Vice President and Membership Chair Carol-Ann Koch-Weser, Secretary Tetiana Taganska, and Board Members Susan Helmer and Ginny Riedner. The organization is supported by a grant from the Alameda County Arts Commission ARTSFUND, and Tri-City Voice is listed as a publishing partner. Fellow art organizations mentioned in connection with this group include Livermore Art Association, Dublin Arts Collective, Pleasanton Art League, Tracy Art League, and Concord Art Association.
