Established in 2006, Palm Academy has been working with families in the Fremont community and offers a full line of programs designed to serve children from infancy, preschool, kindergarten, and through 8th grade, with a school-age enrichment curriculum that can help children advance academically all the way to ninth grade. Palm Academy is a licensed learning center and after school program that teaches children from infancy to high school, with daycare services starting at six weeks old and daycare programs designed to include every member of the family so that parents have one stop for all childcare needs. With the opening of its infant center, Palm Academy provides a full academy that nurtures and educates intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
Palm Academy’s child care curriculum and school-age enrichment curriculum are powered by the PALS Enrichment Program (Personal Adaptive Learning Systems), which teaches kids how to self-study and prepares them for a lifetime of academic success, and the curriculum aligns to state standards and to the students’ eye level. Palm Academy has taken on Abrakadoodle, an award-winning and nationally accredited art and creativity program that enables children to express their individuality in unique, imaginative ways, with each Abrakadoodle class offering a specific educational experience that demonstrates artistic techniques, encourages creativity, and helps students learn at their own pace. FasTracKids is an early learning program at Palm Academy that begins with a child-centered classroom where students discover their own abilities and potential to learn inside a classroom focused on a unique interactive education.
Palm Academy’s after school programs are designed to complement the student’s formal education and provide a mix of activities that include English, Math, and Critical Thinking programs, as well as art, music, and games that improve coordination. These after school programs help kids learn at all levels and use innovative and successful programs from PALS, and students can exercise and develop social skills in the courtyard after finishing homework and enrichment learning. Programs concentrate on early literacy, critical thinking, creativity, self-control, and problem-solving, and Palm Academy is described as a rare mix of the best in early preschool education.
Palm Academy is a licensed learning center and after school program with a safe and engaging daycare facility, a courtyard for students to exercise and develop social skills, and a fleet of vans and trained drivers who will drive school-aged children to school and then pick them up and bring them back; it is the only facility in all of Fremont and the surrounding area that offers this fleet and service. Child care staff are certified and carefully vetted, teachers are qualified, and staff are trained and described as experts remaining committed to giving families a safe place. Palm Academy is recognized as Top Rated Local and Rated Local, and Abrakadoodle is nationally accredited.
Palm Academy’s mission statement is that it helps children to be successful in school and in life by providing a balanced academic education that focuses on critical thinking, communication, creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Palm Academy states that it cares about helping parents save time and money while helping children grow into adults parents want them to be, and it describes itself as a trusted environment for children to laugh, learn, and grow. Palm Academy has remained open throughout the COVID-19 crisis and monitors and follows daily guidance from the CDC, local Health Departments, and Licensing Agencies.
