Green Forest Art Studio

Green Forest Art Studio offers Summer Art Camp, year-round weekly art classes, and birthday parties that include drawing, sketching, painting with watercolor, acrylic, and oil, mixed media, pastels, clay, sculpture, Chinese painting, print art, large canvas painting projects, and air dry clay projects. Summer Art Camp weekly themes include topics such as Tiny Pets, Visit to the Cafe & Bakery, Art History Cats, Movie Night, A Colorful World: Still Life, Trip to the Aquarium, Jungle Elephants, America’s National Park, Water Sport Vacation, What’s For Dinner?, and Cryptozoology: Animals of Myth. Some sessions also combine clay sculpture and canvas painting in a single project.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer Art Camp is offered in weekly sessions with Half Day options from 9:00am–12 noon or 1:00pm–4:00pm, and Full Day sessions from 9:00am–4:00pm; most weekly art classes are 1.5 hours, and the Portfolio Development class is 2.0 hours, with studio hours available Monday–Saturday.
• Price: Summer Art Camp Half Day is $400 per week, Full Day is $650 per week, Drop-In Half Day is $90, Drop-In Full Day is $145, and Portfolio Camp Morning (9:00am–12 noon) is $450 per week.

All instructors at Green Forest Art Studio are practicing artists with formal training in the visual arts, and each teacher has either a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the visual arts. The studio states that it provides individualized instruction in a warm, relaxing setting, with a focus on appreciation for the art-making process and building self confidence that will help students in all areas of life. Green Forest Art Studio is described as the East Bay’s premier art studio for kids and serves families from several nearby communities.

Summer Art Camp includes juice and snacks, and students in Full Day sessions are asked to bring their own lunch. Families are advised to have children dress in clothes that can get messy, and students may bring their own water bottle if they wish. A promotion offers 5% off when signing up for three or more weeks for a limited time, and spaces for Summer Art Camp are first come, first served. Parents may schedule a free introductory class for certain programs, and payments can be made by cash, checks payable to “Green Forest Art Studio,” or Zelle, with checks including the student’s name, age, selected weeks and schedule, and a contact phone number.
