About the provider
AYSO EPIC was launched in 1991 as AYSO’s VIP Program and later rebranded to EPIC, which stands for Everyone Plays In our Community. Its mission is to provide athletes with disabilities the additional support they need to fully participate in a quality soccer experience. The program also uses "buddies," who assist EPIC players on the field.
Open for all athletes with disabilities from ages 4-99. There are no try-outs, and all players are welcome. EPIC teams are typically small and coeducational. Teams are balanced by size, mobility and ability rather than by age. When numbers allow, older and younger age divisions may be formed as well. There are no upper age limits for EPIC players.
