Live Oak Preschool

Live Oak Preschool follows a philosophy of self-directed, play-based education with a focus on social-emotional development and hands-on learning experiences. The program values small class sizes that support plentiful interaction between teachers and children in a fun and engaging learning environment.

Live Oak Preschool is a non-profit preschool that has been serving the community for over 45 years. The preschool is led by Director Shirleyann Jennings. Its mission states a commitment to meeting each unique child exactly where they are, with an emphasis on social-emotional development, hands-on learning, and education approached from the perspective of play. The school describes itself as more than just a school and as a family. Live Oak Preschool serves communities throughout northern Sonoma County, including Healdsburg, Windsor, Cloverdale, Santa Rosa, and beyond, and describes communication as key to involvement within the Live Oak family and the wider Sonoma County community.
