About
Curiosity Club Camp offers daily nature walks, outdoor games, drawing and art, science exploration, and activities focused on animal facts. The program is a seasonal, science-based day camp that teaches young students about wetland science, engages their creativity, and focuses on natural spaces like the Bolsa Chica wetlands. Curiosity Club Camp is offered as Spring Curiosity Club, Summer Curiosity Club, and Winter Curiosity Club, and is tailored to students in grades 1–4.
• Ages: 6–10 years old
• Schedule: Usually held Tuesday–Friday from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, with some sessions held on select days or weeks throughout the year and some sessions shorter depending on holidays or other scheduling circumstances
The program is part of the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, a private, non-profit organization established in 1990 by a coalition of government, community, business, and environmental leaders. The Conservancy’s mission is to inspire and educate all communities to protect, preserve, and restore the Bolsa Chica wetlands. The organization is associated with the California Naturalist Certification Program and also runs the Wetlands on Wheels (WOW) program, the ExperTalk Series, restoration programs at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, Harriet M. Wieder Regional Park, and Rabbit Island, and the Eyes on Nest Sites (EONS) bird surveys.
