Chozen Martial Arts Academy offers Kids Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Krav Maga. The Kids Martial Arts program is designed to build confidence, focus, and discipline in a fun and structured environment. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program empowers students with real-world grappling skills, ground control, and submission techniques in a safe, supportive setting. The Krav Maga program teaches practical, no-nonsense self-defense for real-life situations, using techniques drawn from striking, grappling, and weapons defense, and is designed for adults of all fitness levels, including law enforcement and seniors.
Sensei Danny Trujillo is the Owner and Head Instructor and the founder of Chozen Martial Arts Academy in La Verne, CA. He is a 7th-degree black belt with over 40 years of experience in the martial arts. His journey began in 1983 under the mentorship of Shihan Rudy Amaya at Red Dragon Karate, and by 1989 he had taken ownership of the San Dimas studio, eventually expanding to Covina.
The academy’s mission is to raise up strong, kind, and confident people through the power of martial arts. From family-friendly events to in-house tournaments and workshops, students and families form lasting friendships and support one another through every step of the journey.
